JANE RICK

Jane Rick began her career as a Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum before she moved to Spencer House 25 years ago.

Jane was appointed to the position of Director of Spencer House in 1996. She was responsible for the magnificent works of art that can be seen within the State Rooms, which included liaising with the Royal Collection, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Tate Britain, amongst many other public and private collections, who have generously lent fine eighteenth-century paintings and furniture for display. She organised public access to the State Rooms and was also responsible for the appearance of the historic garden overlooking Green Park, amongst other specialised projects.

Jane was appointed the London representative of the Historic Houses Association during this period.

Spencer House became a Member of the Mayfair and St James’s Association in 1990 and Jane was appointed to the Council in 2000. In 2013 she was made a Director of the Council.

Jane recently left Spencer House and is now working as a freelance art consultant, based in St. James’s.
