Built in 1763 by Robert Adam – the British architect and designer who helped pioneer neoclassicism – Lansdowne House became a social club in 1935, and unlike other clubs in London, has admitted men and women with equal social status ever since it first opened. Steeped in history, with its impressive neo-classical architecture and elegant interiors, it has played host to key historical moments and countless distinguished characters.
Today, it is one of the most exclusive and traditional private members' clubs in London. Offering some of the best-value accommodation in Mayfair, the Club boasts 73 stylish rooms and suites.
