The Royal Over-Seas League invites you to their upcoming Public Affairs Series, featuring the Hon. Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, Prime Minister of Samoa and current Chair-in-Office of the Commonwealth.
Hon. Mataʻafa is the first woman appointed to Samoa’s Cabinet and the first female to serve as the nation’s Head of Government. She is also the first Head of Government not affiliated with the Human Rights Protection Party. Throughout her distinguished career, Hon. Mataʻafa has held key positions, including Minister of Education, Minister of Women, Community and Social Development and Minister of Justice. From 2016 to 2020, she served as Samoa’s first female Deputy Prime Minister.
