Exhibition of world’s best food photography
Inspires new London festival celebrating food and photography
An exhibition of the finalist images of this year’s Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film, is premiering at the Mall Galleries, London. The free-to-enter exhibition runs from 5th – 9th June and has been named one of the best photography exhibitions to see in 2024.
From growing, farming, harvesting, to cooking, eating, celebrating and surviving, this smorgasbord of images tells the stories of lives across the world through the universal language of food.
The exhibition forms part of the first-ever Plate! St James’s, a new festival across the historic area of St James’s in London which will celebrate food, drink and photography from 5th – 23rd June.
The festival will see businesses across St James’s celebrating food and photography in an exciting collection of ways over the three-week period.
Fortnum & Mason will be displaying their 25 favourite images from the Mall Galleries exhibition in their beautiful Food & Drink Studio from 10th June. As well as serving a delicious Plate! St James’s cocktail throughout the festival.
On 13th June, Berry Bros. & Rudd will be serving Berry Bros. & Rudd Crémant de Limoux by Antech, Brut, Languedoc by the glass for anyone shopping, and offering 10% off wines in their Own Selection range for those who quote Plate! St James’s. On 19th June from 3pm to 6pm, they will be hosting a barrel-top tasting of No.3 Gin cocktails in their stunning new Spirits Shop and 10% off No.3 Gin when quoting Plate! St James’s.
The world-famous DUKES London will be displaying some of the world’s best photographs of cake and hosting in The Drawing Room a special Afternoon Tea with fellow British favourite Tiptree, purveyors of quality preserves since 1885. DUKES will be offering a special cocktail, featuring Tiptree’s locally distilled gin, bringing a burst of British flavours together.
Beloved neighbourhood restaurant Franco’s will be showing Italy-themed images from the archives of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, and lucky diners will be able to purchase them, with all proceeds to Action Against Hunger.
