Wednesday 15th April
Time: 5:30 pm
Venue: Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy, 87, Dukes Street, London, W1K 5PQ
| This week members attended Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy.
We were treated to an excellent and truly enlightening talk about some of the history of homeopathy, including the often very experimental nature of treatments by Samuel Hahnemann ( widely considered to be the founder of homeopathy). The talk included an introduction to homeopathy and how it is utilised in modern life both here and worldwide. Its use in India was particularly enlightening as was the explanation of how the different strengths of treatments are mixed and their applications.
Members were also generously provided with an introduction and guide to homeopathy to take home and study homeopathy’s many potential benefits. It is always fascinating to visit Nelsons’ shop on Dukes Street, where its’ over 160 years of expertise almost comes to life. With a variety of bottles on display, many of which clearly decades old, it is the closest that members will get to Professor Snape’s potions store in Hogwarts!
We would like to again thank Nelsons for their time and generously hosting members, all of whom came away more knowledgeable and open to the potential benefits of homeopathy and some with some homeopathic remedies of their own to try. |
