The office at 46 Grosvenor Street dates back to 1725 and has been decorated lavishly by its various owners, notably the wealthy financier Sir Edgar Speyer who spend the equivalent of £15.5 million on the property between 1899 and 1905. The “Music room” (below) is panelled in oak with carved and gilded Louis XV decorations, and a painted sky within a trompe l’oeil framework.
